Our Impact

The world of tech is inequitable – it’s broken like code.
We’re here to fix that.

THE PROBLEM

Only 25% of computer science roles are held by women. Less than 10% are held by women of color.

Systemic and cultural barriers make it more difficult for women, nonbinary, trans, and People of Color to enter the industry. We’re building a more inclusive tech industry by creating STEM-based educational opportunities for those who are least likely to find them elsewhere. Kode With Klossy equips scholars with essential coding skills and a safe community that will help them not only enter and navigate tech-based fields, but flourish and shift the culture.

“Above all [Kode With Klossy] gave me a safe space to get interested in something foreign to me. It gave me a chance and I want everyone to have that kind of open, productive, enlightening experience.”

02

"Because of [Kode With Klossy], I can walk into a computer science class and connect with topics I’ve learned in camp. I also have the confidence to answer the teacher’s questions, and I can even teach concepts to others."

03

“I could not have asked for a better working environment, and I looked forward to going to camp each day. The KWK community is truly so special and I felt extremely cared for each step of the way. All of the instructional teams I worked on this year were kind and supportive, and I made many lasting connections - both with other IAs and with the scholars.”

04

“I’ve had a such a pleasant and rewarding experience [at] KWK. This is a workspace and community in which I felt truly appreciated by both the KWK staff and scholars. It’s a company that I take pride in representing, and being part of community.”
