7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
While you may be able to control the use of cookies through your web browser as described in the “Cookies and Similar Technologies” section above, some web browsers may also give you the ability to enable a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting that tells a website that a user does not want their online activity to be tracked. This DNT signal is different from disabling certain forms of tracking by declining cookies in your browser settings, as browsers with DNT enabled still have the ability to accept cookies. There is no consistent industry standard for responding to DNT signals, and our Site does not currently respond to DNT. If we do so in the future, we will describe our approach in this Privacy Policy.
Some browsers and extensions also support the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which is designed to allow Internet users to communicate privacy preferences, such as whether or not they want to be tracked or have their personal information sold or shared with third parties for targeted advertising. KWK will process GPC signals where required by applicable law.
8. Data Retention
We retain Personal Information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide you with our Services. This retention will continue in accordance with our retention practices and legal requirements as necessary, for example, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We may anonymize your Personal Information (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes.
Our retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the reason it was collected.
9. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. The ways we do this include:
-
Limiting access to the information we collect about you;
-
Ensuring that we and our service providers and business partners have appropriate security safeguards to keep Personal Information secure; and

You are responsible for choosing a secure password when you create an account on our Site or to use our Services. We encourage you to keep any passwords you use confidential and to choose a password that you do not use on any other website. Be careful to avoid “phishing” scams, including where someone may send you an email that appears to be from KWK. We will not request your account information through email. You use the Site and transmit information at your own risk.
If you believe your Personal Information may have been compromised, please contact us at privacy@kodewithklossy.com.

Such countries may include, without limitation, the United States and other countries in which we or our service providers maintain facilities. These steps may include contractual protections or other legally-approved transfer mechanisms. We take all reasonable technical and organizational measures to safeguard Personal Information we transfer.

You may withdraw consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, it will not affect the lawfulness of any processing based on your consent before you withdrew it. Where applicable, we may ask for your consent – or if applicable consent from your parent or guardian - to processing at the point where you provide your Personal Information.
